hi there!

I'm Claire, a creative, self confessed collector (ok, hoarder!) of beautiful objects, anything vintage with a story, second hand or a little bit unusual.

In September 2016 I married my lovely husband Rich, in a beautiful rustic barn in the Brecon Beacons. We had a clear vision for a day that was a little different; reflecting us and all the things we loved, so I began sketching, designing and scouring charity shops and flea markets, for unusual objects and inspiration to bring my ideas to life. It was here that the collecting escalated (!) and where you can see that I was drawn to objects that are filled with nostalgia and charm.

The idea for Oh So Curious was born – I knew I wanted to share my collection and relaxed style with other couples looking for something similar. My business began in my garage, at home in Bridgend, where I live with Rich and our little boy Rory. It grew, and now I feel so lucky to share a creative studio and showroom with my 'work wife' Tina from Forever Green Blooms. I am constantly inspired by a new and fresh outlook towards weddings, which reflect who the couple are and what they love, over what tradition says.

Design and creativity has always been a huge part of my life. Choosing to complete a degree in Product Design was always the natural choice given my love for objects, although after university I quickly found my feet in the world of visual merchandising for fashion retail. I was lucky enough to be able to combine an interest in visual display with my academic design training, when I was offered a role at a design consultancy designing window and instore displays for big high street names. After a few years learning in the industry, I made a move into graphic design. This time working for a large print group, again amongst the retail world, designing directly with clients on their creative marketing campaigns. That was 10 years ago, and I still dabble in the graphic design world, which sometimes also lends itself to creating beautiful stationery for my couples!

I think I have now found the perfect balance, with a small business which is very much a passion and personal creative outlet. That's why you'll find I am equally as passionate about your wedding - this isn't a job for me, I really love what I do and that's why I am here.

So if you’re planning a wedding/event and think my style suits you and your day, do get in touch, I'd love to meet you.
