A wedding stylist is someone who will create and implement the overall look and feel of your day, giving you total decor peace of mind that every detail will be just as you imagine. If you're feeling overwhelmed with all the planning involved but at the same time want everything to look just perfect, then we can help to take away the pressure of decorating your venue, so you can focus on enjoying your big day!

So how does wedding styling work...? 

consultation

I will offer you an initial consultation to meet, either in person at my studio or via online video call. This is an opportunity for us to talk about what services you require, the feel you want to create, to browse the collection, and for me to talk you through the options of how I work, and provide some inspiration for your day!

proposal

Following our meeting I will send you a bespoke creative proposal and quotation with pricing based on our ideas. If you're happy to proceed, a booking fee is required to secure the your date, myself and all the hired items.

planning

I will contact you a couple of months before your event, to arrange a follow up meeting (in person or on the phone) to talk through your proposal to ensure all details are correct, and discuss any finer details. I will put together a styling plan which will detail the full setup and will work as my checklist on the day. One month before your date, the final balance will be due.

Relax and enjoy your wedding morning as I'll be there bright and early with everything I need to decorate the venue as we planned. I'll ensure everything is perfect before you arrive, and come back the following morning to pack down and  collect everything - so you can relax and relive your special day.

Where are you based?

Oh So Curious is run from my creative studio/showroom which is in Bridgend, South Wales. I share the studio with a florist, Tina, from Forever Green Blooms.

 

Can we come to view your hire collection?

Yes, you are more than welcome to visit – just contact me to make an appointment. I will ask you if you have any style ideas or whether you are looking for some help with that, it helps me to know what sort of things you'd be interested in seeing!

I’d like to make a DIY hire booking, what do I need to do?

  • Contact us to check availability for your date and send us your wish list (if you have one!). You're welcome to make an appointment to visit if you're not sure or would like to take a look at props first.

  • Once you have decided the items you'd like to hire and how many you need, I will send you a quote, which will include the hire cost and the potential replacement costs. I will ask for some contact details for you and send you our terms of hire.

  • Once you’re happy to go ahead, a booking fee is required to secure the items for your date.

  • One month before your event, the final balance will be due. Just before this point I will contact you to finalise quantities and check all details before the balance is paid. 

What is your DIY hire period?

The DIY hire period usually spans over 3 days. For example, for an event on a Saturday, items would be available to you on the Friday and collected/returned on the Sunday. I can be flexible with the hire period, depending on timings and demand for the items you have hired, it can be longer. I will do our best to accommodate your timings!

 

Do you have a minimum spend?

Yes, our minimum spend for DIY hire is £450. You can collect and return items for free from our base in Bridgend, or if you require delivery/collection to your venue, this is subject to availability/location and is priced at 70p per mile.

Do you take a booking fee?

Yes, to secure your date we require a booking fee. This is non-refundable and is is 20% of the total. On paying your booking fee, you agree acceptance of our terms and conditions (which will be supplied with your quote).

When is the balance due?

The final balance is due 1 month before your event, by BACs payment.

 

What if I need to cancel/amend my booking?

If you need to cancel, please let us know as soon as possible. You will not be charged the remaining final balance but the initial booking fee will be retained. If you need to cancel within 1 month of your event, all charges are non-refundable. You can amend your booking (add or remove items, subject to availability) up to 1 month before your event. This may change your quote but this will be outlined to you.

How do you arrange delivery and collection?

If you require delivery and collection, we will contact you a couple of months before your event to arrange locations and timings. We will also ask for a contact person and number at your venue, to ensure all goes smoothly on the day. Delivery and collection is charged at 70p per mile from our base in Bridgend.

What happens if I lose or break something?

We will outline item replacement costs on your quotation so you are aware of any potential further fees before you book. If any items are not returned, lost, stolen or damaged during the hire period, you will be invoiced for these according to the costs outlined and payment should be received within 14 days.

Cleaning and Packaging

All the items are carefully packaged to ensure they arrive with you in the best condition! Please look after this and return everything packed as it was delivered to you. You will be charged for replacement packaging if it is not returned. We will take care of cleaning items after your hire, although we do ask you remove any loose debris before you re-package them.

 

Liability

We will give you a copy of our Terms of Hire before any items are released to you. Once you pay your booking fee, you agree to accept these terms. We accept no responsibility for injury caused to any person during the hire period. All hired items are the responsibility of you until they are returned. Please check your hired items at delivery/collection and in the unlikelihood noticing anything missing or damaged please inform us immediately. We will endeavour to repair/replace items if time allows.
